We have six Project Surveyors who are all registered in the State of Florida, two of whom are certified by Florida Atlantic University in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) with a total of over one hundred eighty-three years of combined survey experience.
Michael D. Avirom, P.L.S. (President) Mr. Avirom graduated with a Business Administration degree from Florida Atlantic
University in 1973. He worked for a large surveying firm for a number of years and became a Florida registered surveyor in 1979.
He launched his own company in 1981 and his surveying expertise in boundary, aerial control, topography, bathymetric and
construction layout distinguished him as a respected professional in the industry. His business acumen has created the successful
firm that Avirom & Associates, Inc. is today. Mr. Avirom is a member of the Florida Society of Professional Land Surveyors;
American Congress on Surveying and Mapping; National Society of Professional Land Surveyors; Florida GPS Users Group and the Gold
Coast Land Surveyors Council.
David Eric Breaux, P.L.S. Mr. Breaux graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Nicholls State
University in 1982. He has performed numerous surveys in his native state of Louisiana and began working for Avirom & Associates,
Inc. in 1987. He became a Florida registered surveyor in 1999. As a Project Surveyor and field crew supervisor he was responsible
for the calculation and layout of approximately over two thousand pilings at the Beach Tower in Atlantis, Paradise Island, Bahamas.
Mr. Breaux is responsible for Construction surveying, Boundary surveys, and Topographic Surveys. Mr. Breaux is a member of the
Florida Society of Professional Land Surveyors.
Keith M. Chee-A-Tow, P.L.S. Mr. Chee-A-Tow had eighteen years of survey experience in the Bahamas while working for his
father’s firm, Chee-A-Tow & Co., Ltd. He moved to Florida in April, 1989 and has been employed by Avirom and Associates,
Inc. since. He became a Florida registered surveyor in January, 1994. Mr. Chee-A-Tow is responsible for Boundary surveys, Topographic surveys,
Hydrographic surveys, GPS surveys, Aerial Mapping and Expert Witness Testimony. Mr. Chee-A-Tow is a member of the Florida Society
of Professional Land Surveyors; American Congress on Surveying and Mapping; National Society of Professional Land Surveyors;
National Society of Geographic and Land Information Systems, and Florida GPS Users Group.
John T. Doogan, P.L.S. Mr. Doogan had twenty-four years of survey experience prior to been employed by Avirom and Associates,
Inc. in 1999. He has been a Florida registered surveyor since July, 1987. Mr. Doogan became certified in Geographic Information
System from Florida Atlantic University in June, 2003. Mr. Doogan is responsible for Boundary surveys, Topographic surveys, GPS
surveys and Expert Witness Testimony. Mr. Doogan is a member of the Florida Society of Professional Land Surveyors and American
Congress on Surveying and Mapping.
Marisha Kreitman, P.S.M. Ms. Kreitman began working for Avirom & Associates as a draftsperson in 1994. She advanced herself
to become a Survey Technician while attending classes at Florida Atlantic University. In 2005, she graduated Magna Cum Laude from
FAU with a degree in Geography: Geographic Information System. She became a Florida Registered Surveyor in July 2006. Ms. Kreitman
is responsible for Boundary surveys and Topographic surveys. Ms. Kreitman is a member of the Florida Society of Professional Land
Surveyors.
Alan Reynolds, P.S.M. Mr. Reynolds had sixteen years of survey experience prior to been employed by Avirom and Associates, Inc.
in 2000. He has been a Florida registered surveyor since 2002. Mr. Reynolds is responsible for Boundary surveys, Topographic surveys
and GPS surveys. Mr. Reynolds is a member of the Florida Society of Professional Land Surveyors.
